        美國改良紅楓屬高大喬木,是經(jīng)過改良的優(yōu)秀品種。生長極為迅速,當年春播可高達1米以上,是歐洲重點推廣樹種,觀賞性極佳。耐-40°C低溫,耐高溫,樹高可達30M,冠幅10M,葉掌狀3-5裂,葉長10CM,葉表面亮綠色,葉背泛白,部分有白色絨毛。春季新葉泛紅,與成串的紅色花朵相映成趣;夏季枝葉成陰;秋季葉片為絢麗的紅色,持續(xù)時間長。樹型直立向上,樹冠圓形。春天開紅色小花,果有翅(如圖),紅色,是所有紅楓品種中生長較快的品種。    美國紅楓在病蟲害方面則很少。主要有黑螨及光肩星天牛。發(fā)現(xiàn)后及時處理不會對樹造成影響。美國紅楓的未來發(fā)展?jié)摿薮,是國內取代其他行道樹的首選樹種,終究會成為新一代行道樹之王!   美國紅楓可用種子繁殖或扦插繁殖。種子無需層化處理,發(fā)芽較快。扦插繁殖成活率較低。
